Ozyegin University was founded by Hüsnü M. Özyeğin in 2005. The research was done on people of the business world, faculty members, university and high school students to the basic values and vision of the university were discussed with all stakeholders, with the design studies carried out by ARAMA Participatory Management Consulting. Its university vision was made by 300 people in various facilities including; business executives, faculty members, university students, and recent graduates. Ozyegin University was created on May 18 2007 to become a unique university that contributes towards social development with its contemporary education system, innovative structure intertwined with life, education approach intertwined with sectors, and programs created accordingly. The first students were welcomed in September 2008 at Istanbul Altunizade Campus.
